In an increasingly partisan global climate, sometimes it can be hard for people to figure out what’s really true about the world we live in. Friends, family, media outlets, and social movements can all insist on their own perspectives, and sometimes all of these expectations can overwhelm us. When we’re able to stand back and look at an issue clearly, we do our own minds a favor. The Alliance for Dialogue and Understanding offers freedom back by working to bring the stories and perspectives that often go unheard into conversation with each other.
At AFDU, we understand the importance of conversation and strive to foster real shifts in our public discourse through empathy. We seek change through exchange and use discourse to chart a new course for the world, one person at a time.
